About Kelly Nguyen

Kelly ran for Congress in 2010 garnering 41% vote totals. She served as the lead consultant on the 2 012 David Staples statewide Public Service Commission race in Georgia, achieving -34% of the vote (over 1 million votes), in one of the strongest Libertarian showings in a Georgia statewide race. She served as a Georgia Ron Paul state co-coordinator in 2012 and attended the 2012 Libertarian Party National Convention in Las Vegas.

Kelly has been a Libertarian Party member since 2013. She currently works as a project manager, coordinating multiple eCommerce web development projects involving mass data migration, legacy system upgrades, application modernization, Al integration for fraud prevention, and UX/UI redesign. She also brings 20 years of experience in digital marketing, including SEO, PPC, web analytics, brand development, and graphic design.

Will you please describe any experience you have making budgeting decisions for medium sized organizations?

Yes, I budget projects and collect individual quotes to stay within or close my client's budget.

I budget my own LLC as a contractor, hire an accountant and budget how much I can spend on the business.

How can the Libertarian Party set and stay within a budget, and what are the rough outlines of what that budget might look like?

During treasurer meetings, you itemize each budget item and make sure they are all within what is currently being funraised. If the Party is going in the red, you guage how long it can be sustained and fundraise to get back in the black.

When is it appropriate for the Libertarian Party to go into debt?

Long term assets such as real estate. Besides that, there are very few scenarios that are worth to go i to debt for.

Can you name a large, successful convention that you helped to plan?

No.

Will you please describe any ballot access campaign you've helped to organize or supervise, and what the result was?

No.

Will you please describe any experience you have with database management?

I work extensively with databases for work. I create, edit, write/execute sql queries, export, import, manage upgrades, etc.

Will you please describe any experience you have with social media account oversight?

Social media for political campaigns and LP affiliates.

During your best year, about how much money were you able to fundraise for the Libertarian Party, for a state or local party, or for a campaign?

I've held various fundraisers, raised about 10K for a Libertarian statewide race.

Can you name a time when you resisted the temptation to take on a project outside of your organization's core functions?

No.

Will you please describe a time when you were able to work with someone you didn't like or with someone who didn't like you? Do you tend to make people you work with angry?

My work is project based. Projects are sensitive and require 0% toxicity. I carefully hand pick the individuals I work with. If I don't, the project will fail. For difficult individuals, I typically segregate them away from important tasks.

Is there anything else that would make you a good member of the Libertarian National Committee?

I create high quality marketing and branding.
